Fifteen new courses have been added to Nigerian tertiary education, the Federal Government has announced.
This was explained in a press release issued by the National Orientation Agency (NOA) on Friday, January 24, 2025.
NOA said the new course was added to the curriculum to improve students’ skills and employability.
Expected to come into effect from January 2025, the newly updated curriculum will be used in primary and secondary schools in Nigeria.
Below is a list of new courses:
1. Pipes
2 Hairdressing
3 Cosmetics
4 POP installation
5 Building tiles and floors
6 Decoration and event management
7 Bakeries and pastries
8 Satellite/TV antenna installation
9 Installation and maintenance of the sun
10 Making clothes
11 Interior Design
12 GSM configuration
13 Agriculture and processing (including crop farming, beekeeping, horticulture
14 Raising livestock such as chickens and rabbits)
15 Digital literacy (including IT and robotics)
