When I loved politics too much, By Wole Arisekola

I began to think about the politicians I have helped. I remembered my fight to fight, crying, and I lost her bed. None of those remembered when they were reigning. There’s no grateful message. No more invitations can look at the best … they continued. He raised their lives. But the agents? He became where it was – forgotten, task, and was left … That’s when I made a decision.

There was a time in my life when I loved so much. I was eaten with this so that I had a political conversation. I followed politicians anywhere, they went to a party, stood by them as a clever discipleship. I was that guy you always’d find a politician, smile, rejoicing, protecting him with all my heart. I argued with my friends, loss, and disputes with relatives – because they support the condemnation. My loyalty was for fire. I believed in the vision and my favorite friends who liked my favorite, and I defiled myself as my life depended on. I saw politics as a game of mind and loyalty, where to desire, dreams, and love of your country should lead.

However, something happened – something that has changed my mind.

I began to realize the arrangement. Disturbed.

I noticed the politics that I had sustained the same as the same – not connected to their families. When decisions are successful, power changed overnight. Their wives will not only be women. He immediately changed to “his greatness,” surrounded by Sirens and safe. Their children, who were once freely played with others, suddenly becomes “older boys” and “big women,” hanging on top cars and sitting in tags.

Made a new yard – a powerful, luck, and popularity. Obtained it was about. You may need to keep weeks in advance or becomes a sycophant, bootlicker, calls constant their praise, even if they fail humans.

Unless your friend from Kogi State – who was shaking the shoes of his employer with his tongue, while “oh,” his “son” held. You can’t raise your message.

I had to rest. I had to lend the wisdom, as we said in Nigeria.

I asked myself: What is the true political purpose in Nigeria? Why do people agree with politics?

After seeing, research, I think so much, I came with four major reasons:

    1. Money – Politiars in Nigeria is one of the fastest ways to get in an emergency.

    2. Power – To correct others, attract the way, and discuss.

    3. The popularity – to be a family name, at least a long time.

    4. The popularity – a feeling and act as a “greater man” for eight or more years.

That’s a bit of pain. So that’s why many people are busy with politics.

To be surely, for many politics, it is not human politicians. It does not affect the work or home. And about the matter. It’s about “I, my wife, and my children.”

I began to think about the politicians I have helped. I remembered my fight to fight, crying, and I lost her bed. None of those remembered when they were reigning. There’s no grateful message. Not again to be invited to see better.

Went on. He raised their lives. But the agents? Been where it was – forgetful, job, and discarded.

This is where I made a decision. I decided to leave the political response. I chose to see from a distance and voting in the best – not blind. I began asking false questions, as well as: “What is the one who loved in their own?” “How have humans done people when they have low power?”

When I passed, I realized that many politicians in Africa share in a common state – selfishness. Self-loving, irrelevant. Most views politics like jackpot, a business work, not calling to serve.

And who is most likely to suffer? Followers. Faithful. The streets of the streets carrying cell phones and slogs. The people who fight with friends, put their records to leaders who may not remember their names as soon as they win.

In Nigeria, politics is a family business. The following realizes that. Until we can understand these pains, the cycle is offended to continue.

But we can choose differently. We can learn. We can change.

We should give up the political worship. We must stop seeing them as gods. They are not spiritual; They are people – mistakes, active, and often self-confidence.

Let’s wait for a point, not humanity. Let’s see the thoughts, not the people. May we put our trust in moral integrity, not telling lies.

May God bless each Nigerian man who believes a better version. May He touch our hearts with our politicians to serve people honestly. And God is opening the eyes, the mind, and the followers to understand their importance – and stop giving as legal weapons.

Our nation will rise when the followers are wiser than leaders.

    Ire OO OO.
